Petit Manan Point in Steuben is home to a mainland portion of the Coastal Maine Islands National Wildlife Refuge. Two hiking trails visit the shore on both sides of the point: the 1.6-mile Hollingsworth Trail and the 2.5-mile Birch Point Trail.

Depending on our hiking pace and how many times we stop to enjoy wildlife and flora, we will explore one or both of these breathtaking trails. Both lead to beaches and amazing views of the ocean. They also feature a wide variety of plants.

I personally believe this piece of National Wildlife Refuge to be among the most beautiful places in Maine. You will not be disappointed.
