Prices for Hikes & Nature Walks

How does pricing work?

The cost of Maine Nature Hikes trips varies depending on activity, location, and how many people are in your group. Remember: During the hike, you’ll learn about local flora and fauna, history, and geology. These are interpretive hikes, meaning they’re designed to be a fun learning experience.

Extras!

We enjoy providing lunch, snacks, and drinks for our hikers, but we understand that some prefer to bring their own food and drink. When making your reservation, we ask you what you prefer. Food and drinks cost $15-$25 extra per person, depending on the length of the hike.

Free extras!

We want you to be as safe and comfortable as possible, and we understand that not every traveler is able to bring a backpack, lunchbox or hiking poles — that’s why we provide those for free! Just be sure to give them back at the end of the hike!

Katahdin, Maine’s tallest mountain

Katahdin is arguably Maine’s most challenging hike, and it’s a wonderful experience. The climb could take 12-14 hours.

Pricing is $450 for a 1:1 private trip, or $300 per person for a group trip of up to four people. This includes parking reservations, transportation into the park, snacks, lunch and a special drink — and of course a full day being guided up and down the mountain! (You can opt to bring your own food.)

If you want to hike Katahdin, we advise that you make your reservation with us months ahead of time so we have a better chance of reserving a parking spot at the trailhead. Katahdin trailheads fill up quickly from mid-June to September. If you want to hike the mountain in September or October, we may be able to reserve a spot with shorter notice. We can always try!
